There are several companies that carry electric hospital beds.  Invacare, Drive Medical, and Sunrise Medical are just a few examples.  These companies carry beds that have different weight capacities to meet your needs.  They also carry accessories that you might need such as mattresses and overbed tables.  On the lower end Invacare has a 350 pound capacity, model number 54101VC, that is around $800.  On the higher end is a bed that has a thousand pound capacity called the Mighty-Rest Xtra Full Electric that costs around $6300.

There are other features that you will want to consider when looking at the models available.  Some models have reinforced headsprings and longer head sections for greater comfort.  The bed itself has lightweight models for easier maneuvering.  Some models have a lower bed height for safey and they also come with battery backup.  When thinking about maintenance issues some models also have easy-release motors to make maintenance more easily accessible.
