Drive makes a Heavy Duty Bariatric Overbed Table that will hold a 500 pound capacity.  This would be great for people who have extra heavy work they want to do in bed.  Easily a PC would fit on the bed.  It would even support the weight of a person.  It has an extra large table top, and raises up to 45".  This bed sells for $570.  The possibilities for the use of this table goes beyond the wildest imagination.

There were two other Hospital Bed Table companies noted: Medline and Graham Field.  They all have very similar tables to that of Invacare and Drive.  The construction sounds similar, they come with a one year limited warranty, etc.  As these items were reviewed on their web sites, they did not have any reviews from their customers, so it was hard to tell if customers are satisfied.  Invacare comes with very high customer satisfaction.  Good luck in finding what you need, and more importantly, get well soon.
